{bride blogger megan} ceremony decor

We had our last meeting with our priest last night where we went over the ceremony schedule and details. I felt myself stressing and obsessing over the reception decor so it was a blast switching gears to what truly matters…the ceremony.  It hit me as we were selecting our music, decoration rentals and where Tyler and myself will get ready…our wedding is almost here! I couldn’t be more excited!

For the ceremony decor we want to keep it simple and pretty. We will have two large arrangements infront of the alter and we will also rent the church’s wall vases for additional decor. I plan to use the flowers from the ceremony at the reception, and hopefully put the wall vase bouquets  towards centerpieces or small arrangements at the bar, in the bathrooms and in the entry at HillCrest Country Club. The church, Blessed Sacrament, is gorgeous on its’ own so I don’t want to get carried away.

After our meeting last evening, Tyler and I took a walk to a park one block away from our church. It is the perfect location for our first look and for family and bridal party photos. It is exactly what I always wanted as a backdrop for our preceremony photos! I can’t wait to see what our photographer, Leah, will dream up with the space.

Our church, Blessed Sacrament. It has gorgeous rustic ceilings and a small town church feel. Just what we wanted!

The park a block away from our church. A few trees in would be an awesome photo location. There are spots of heavy shade to keep cool and spots of pure sunshine!

I’ve always wanted a path under heavy trees for our “first look” location. I had my heart set on Pioneers Park, where Tyler proposed, but with the timing and distance…this will work perfectly.

I have a growing list of purchases and DIY projects set for the coming weeks. I can’t wait to share!
