Way back in July I had scheduled our engagement photo session with Gleason Photography since Kane literally had one free day all semester, which happened to be in October. Since our photos would be taken outside I started checking the ten-day weather forecast as soon as it came out. It looked perfect–low 70s and clear skies…that is until about 5 days before when the chance of rain kept increasing by 10%. Even though we made the choice to keep our scheduled date, we had our fingers crossed it would be nice! The day finally came and we woke up to cloudy and gloomy skies. We still had high hopes–as long as it didn’t rain, which it didn’t all day. We were scheduled to meet the Gleasons at 5:15 and on our drive to Kearney what does it start to do? RAIN! Thankfully it wasn’t raining too hard and we were able to get some pretty cool shots. I was able to see a couple previews last week and I was impressed, plus it was so much fun!
I definently received my first dose of reality with this engagement session–that the wedding is coming up so soon and that no matter how much advance planning I put into something it is not always going to turn out exactly how I want. I just have to remember to go with the flow and hope for the best! Check out Gleason’s Facebook page or their blog to see out all the previews! Here are a couple of my favorites!
