This inspiration board is fresh, clean and a summer favorite. We love this look with a grey suit on the men and a light yellow dress on the women. It’s perfect for an outdoor affair that wants to keep a relaxed feel.

There is no better way to celebrate a birthday than with cupcakes and dresses! So to celebrate Megan’s birthday we invited Kerried Away Couture to swing by our office to show us their fabulous fabrics and designs. We topped off the day with cupcakes from Le Cupcake which were absolutely delicious!

Tyler and I went to our tasting at Hillcrest Country Club last night and had such a blast trying our meal selections. I was absolutely blown away with the experience and the set up our coordinator, Kim, created for us. If you can, I definitely recommend arranging a tasting with your reception hall or catering. It was a great activity for us to share and really helped us plan the whole evening for our guests. We started the evening trying a few options for hors d’œuvre. We both loved the bruscetta and miniature beef wellingtons. We plan on selecting 2-3 options for our reception. I also learned that having hors d’oeuvre butler passed can be more cost efficient than having stations for guests. Something I didn’t know!

We then tried six different salads(thank you again, Kim!) and both fell in love with a fresh and fruity salad. We hope our guests will love it, because we sure did! After we selected a salad we moved on and tried two beef options and two chicken. Tyler and I both agreed on one beef option and one chicken and loved the side dishes we selected as well. I want to keep them a secret so our guests have some surprises waiting for them in August!

After our meal, we sat down with Kim and went over some basic questions I had. We discussed my ideas for where to put the cake, the wishing tree, etc. and also discussed ideas for our signature drink. Tyler and I have some research to do as we prepare some ideas for that! We will meet Kim once more in August to go over every last detail. I am beyond excited! I have enjoyed working with not only Kim, but all of my vendors so far. They have gone above and beyond for me. I cannot wait to see everything come together in less than 2 months!

On our way home we stopped by our jewelers and purchased our wedding bands. Tyler is so excited to wear his and talks about it often. I love the band he selected and I cannot wait to see him in it on our wedding day.

Cheers!

Megan

These pure petals are the definition of romance and have us swooning. Try pairing them with a cool grey for a more modern look, or a pale blue for a more feminine feel.

I’ve been doing some shopping this week and have some fun finds to share with you.  In addition to the fun factor, I’m excited to see how each of these purchases will photograph.  I love how simple details can completely transform the look and feel of photography.

I fell in love with these forks as soon as I stumbled upon them on Etsy!  These will be a perfect addition to our cake table and could become an heirloom to be used at future weddings, too.  In addition to the “I Do & Me Too”, they also had “Mr & Mrs”, “His & Hers”, “Bride & Groom”, etc., but this design got the vote from both me & Jerad.

Speaking of Etsy, I could spend hours playing on that site…  Another Etsy find that I’ve been admiring for quite sometime is the personalized hanger.  I haven’t ordered one for myself just yet though – still looking for a seller that will be able to fit Jerad’s entire last name on one.  🙂  Often, the dress is photographed while still on the hanger, and this would be a great prop for showing it off.

Hands-down, my deal of the week has been purchasing satin kimono-style robes for my bridesmaids (JCPenney has a great clearance deal on these right now).  They’ll all have matching robes & mine will be pretty similar – should make for some pretty cute pictures while we’re all getting beautiful for the day’s festivities.

192 days to go!
