Tyler and I are so excited that we have finalized our honeymoon plans! We had our hearts set on visiting St. Lucia or another Caribbean island in August but with hurrican season we didn’t want to take the chance. We had a few suggestions by others to visit Kauai, Hawaii so we did some research. We looked at several resorts but we are going to stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa and we couldn’t be more excited! We chose this resort because it has a great balance of what we wanted out of a honeymoon. Tyler wants to go ziplining, kayaking, and scuba diving, and I want to lay on the beach, snorkel and relax. We are leaving the Tuesday after our wedding and we will stay there for 6 nights, 7 days. It can’t come soon enough!

This wedding is warm, cozy, modern and a perfect DIY example. We are loving the color palette of blues, greys and tans with the details of yarn. The only thing that could make this wedding more perfect is a steamy cup of coffee!

  • Trent Tharnish - Following jogging for numerous several hours straight, it was evident that it was not cooling accurately. In many conditions, it is essential to note, that borrowing convenience is a tradeoff with expenses and rates.ReplyCancel

As you’re gearing up for the big day, your honeymoon wardrobe may slip your mind. Jcrew makes packing easy and extremely stylish. If you plan to keep your toes in the sand and a drink in hand, focus on basic pieces like bright colored shorts, soft tshirts and a great wedge sandal. Since some resorts have dress codes in the evening, bring a few staple dresses that you can add a few sparkly pieces to.

  • Shannon - I would love to have a beach wedding but having all our friends and family at our wedding was more important to us. If money was no object I would have my destination wedding and fly all 300 of our guests to be with us and help us celebrate at our beach wedding.ReplyCancel

  • Alexa - The one thing that I would love to have is a perfume/cologne bar. Where our guests would each be paired up with a perfume designer and get to create thier own perfume or cologne based on who they are and what things they like! Each persons would be unique and they could truely call it thier own perfume. We would have personalized bottles for them to put thier special creation in and take with them as thier favor! It would be the perfect wedding favor and they would think of our special day every time they smell the scent that they created! Plus who doesnt like to smell good and feel great wearing thier own perfume?ReplyCancel

  • Jessica - I would have a huge fireworks show, complete with synchronized music and everything. My fiance Nathan’s favorite time of the year is the around the Fourth of July so he can get his own and create his own show.ReplyCancel

  • Savannah - I would love to do a giant scrapbook table. We would have a photobooth set up, and after the guests got their pictures taken, the picture(s) would be printed out immediately. There would be hundreds of scrapbook decorations (paper, stickers, etc) at a table, where all the guests could then make a page of a scrapbook using their photos. At the end of the night all the pages would be put together, and we’d have a giant scrapbook made by our guests to remember the wonderful evening!ReplyCancel
