Well, it’s official…Reese Witherspoon has wed agent Jim Toth! What are your thoughts on this, ladies? Personally, I always held out hope she and Ryan Phillippe would find their way back to each other, simply because they have the cutest kids ever.
So who do you want Reese with? Are you pumped that she found someone that’s not an actor? Disappointed that it didn’t work out with Jake Gyllenhaal? Or do you think she should have ended up with someone else altogether? (A sane Joaquin Phoenix, perhaps?)

This week Ryan and I met with our pastor that will be performing our wedding ceremony, Pastor Wayne Alloway at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. He is the nicest guy and made us feel so comfortable when we met with him.
We talked about what makes a successful marriage. It’s kind of crazy, but you can get so wrapped up in all the details of the wedding, the flowers, cake, music, dress, shoes, and so on, that focusing on how you will make your marriage work kind of takes a back seat. So, it was nice to meet with him and get some pointers on how to argue (because every couple does), and how to address things that may be bothering you about your spouse without making them feel bad. Pastor Wayne stressed to us to make sure we go on dates and make time to do fun things together after we are married. Routines are good but you still need a little spice in your relationship.
To be honest, I thought the meeting with Pastor Wayne was going to be stuffy and very boring, but it was completely the opposite! It was fun and laid back and we couldn’t have chosen a better pastor to perform our service!
The next thing on our “to do” list is to create a registry. I know it will be a blast, but it is kind of an overwhelming process. We have to finish it soon since my bridal shower invitations have gone out! Yikes! We decided to create two registries, one at Pottery Barn and the other at Target. I’m sure a lot of other couples struggle when creating a registry when the bride or groom(or both) already own a lot of home necessities. Tyler bought a house a few years ago and I have helped him add dishes, silverware, pots and pans, etc. to the house over the last few years. Since we have some basics(not all) we needed to really sit down and plan our registry before we went “gun happy.” I was told to ask for all white linens and towels since they are the easiest to care for and match everything. I think it’s a great idea! There have also been some white dishes and serving platters at Target I have been eying!
There are a few items that I have put my focus on. The first item is a bedding set from Pottery Barn for the guest bedroom. Since both our families are from out of state I would really like a super comfortable room for them to come stay in! I registered for this duvet, quilt and sheet set. Oh, and how could I pass up this adorable clock?!
We still haven’t created a registry at Target and made plans to do so this week. Tyler agreed to lead in the kitchen appliances/utensils and I will lead the home decor area. I plan to think practical, but I also plan to register for some staple hosting items like the ones below. Once again, how can you go wrong with all white?
Can this KitchenAid mixer count as my “something blue”? Love it!
