Masking Up for Love

We are definitely living in the strangest of times. Never could we have predicted a world in which a face mask would be the must-have accessory when attending a wedding. However, here we are residing in an era where covering your face in public is recommended, if not required, for the foreseeable future.

For those who have spent months, if not years, planning their wedding, this day most certainly looks much different than one could have expected. And while some couples have chosen to postpone indefinitely, many are ready to start their lives together and are electing to carry on in a more intimate fashion.

As we persevere through this wedding season, being able to embrace this historic period while also taking precautionary measures is key when celebrating the day. Whether you are hosting your own wedding or plan on attending one as a guest, wearing a mask is a simple way to protect those around you while also helping to stop the spread. We’ve found some gorgeous and luxe options to help keep everyone comfortable so they can social distance safely and in style.

Claire Pettibone
Bridal designer, Claire Pettibone, has created cloth face masks coined “The Love Mask Collection” in her feminine style to help protect against the spread of Covid-19. The cotton toile masks are designed for women, to cover the nose and mouth without excess bulk. Made of 100% cotton with silk ties that are adjustable around the ears, and tie at the base of the neck, allows the mask to fit comfortably. For every mask sold, Claire Pettibone is donating one to healthcare and frontline workers.

Luly Yang
Available on their website, the Luly Yang Design Group is offering couture hand made masks as well as larger quantity “community” face masks. In addition, they are taking custom orders for clients who want masks to coordinate with their bridal gowns. 100% of proceeds benefit our work in sourcing and donating masks to our valued healthcare workers.

BHLDN
BHLDN offers a variety of reusable facemasks by designers Katie May, Plum Pretty Sugar, Violet and Brooks, and Lele Sadoughi. The stylish facemasks are available in patterns and traditional bridal white, as well as blue and grey to tie in with any wedding colour scheme.
