Bride Blogger Anna // Engagement Photos

Having engagement photos taken is such a great way to capture a little piece of who you are as a couple during this special time of your life. These photos can become just as special as your wedding-day portraits, and may be more prominently displayed throughout your home.  Brian and I often forget to grab a photo together, especially during events where we actually find ourselves dolled up, so I was very excited to have a set of professional photos together.

Leading up to our engagement photo shoot, I had made sure Brian got a fresh haircut, booked my makeup trial for the day we would be taking pictures and we picked out different outfits to wear. I knew I would want each outfit selection to lend itself to a different overall feel. I used the guidelines of having a classic casual outfit, timeless formal attire and one look that was more on-trend with today’s current styles. This way, I knew I would love our selections now and for many years to come.

When the time came, we were nervous, but Daniel of The Mullers made us feel completely comfortable and talked us through the experience the entire time. Just moments into the shoot, Brian and I were simply having so much fun! We are so excited to have these great photos to look back on for our entire lives. Plus, having this preview experience has us feeling infinitely more relaxed and excited for the many photos to come on our wedding day!

Real Wedding: Alexis + Marcus

There is such beauty packed into every image taken by La Brisa Photography. Alexis and Marcus had a contagious love and joy on this amazing day. We have no words to describe the beautiful colors, design and style Alexis chose for her wedding day. It’s classic, timeless and flawless.

From the Bride: “As middle school, high school, and college sweethearts (yes, really), we wanted our spring wedding to reflect our journey as a couple, as well as to share our love story with our guests. Our goal was to have the wedding be elegant and romantic, but also very personal and filled with special touches that reflect our relationship. Spring is our favorite time of year and our wedding and reception was filled with light muted colors, gorgeous spring flowers, and candles to set the romantic tone. We tied each table number to special moments in our relationship (i.e. 18 – the number of times Alexis thought Marcus would propose but didn’t!) and inserted humor where we could. We played the same song at our ceremony that was played at my parents’ wedding, had special wine on the tables dated from the year we met, and had guests sign a photo guest book filled with momentos, notes, and photos from our journey from 8th grade to present. All in all, it was a perfectly sweet, personal, beautiful day that we will forever remember as one of the best days of our lives.”

Real Wedding: Neely and John

Neely and John’s wedding is full of classic and timeless details. We love the touches of their personality throughout the day and the elegant color palette Neely selected. Bellus Photo + Film did an amazing job capturing every moment, every detail and every emotion.

From the bride: All of the love that went into our wedding seemed magical. We were married in the same church where my parents married. My groom built the arch that stood behind us at the reception. It’s now in our backyard. We loved seeing all of our family and friends light up with smiles and well-wishes. It was a small and elegant June wedding with lots of family traditions. We wish the day would have lasted forever!
