Real Wedding | Nellie + Marcus

Having watched the movie UP on their first date, it’s no surprise the movie has a special place in this couple’s hearts! Incorporating the sweetest moments of the movie into their day, the bride describes their wedding day as romantic country with a twist of elegance. Nellie and Marcus’ wedding day was stunning to say the least! The couple thought of everything, creating a wedding affair that was full of special touches for their guests. See every beautiful detail in these images by Jessica Blex Photography & Design.

FROM THE BRIDE: I loved everything about my day, but a memory that I cherish is my husband’s toast to the guests. He thanked all the guests and then proceeded to tell all the guests how truly lucky he felt to marry such a beautiful person. He doesn’t express emotion much in public so it was very unexpected, which made the moment even more special. One of the most important parts of the wedding planning for me was the decor. My mom and I have a passion to decorate, so I had a vision of what I wanted the reception to look like. My mom and Petals to Platinum helped make that happen. It turned out better than I could have imagined! Another important aspect for us was to make every person at the wedding feel special – I love hosting guests! However, when hosting over 600 people it is difficult to make each of them feel like they were special. We had a couple party favors that they could take home, thank yous at each place setting, snacks before the reception, a taco bar during the dance and signature drinks with custom take-home wine glasses. We wanted them to feel like they were at a big party, not just another wedding. Marcus and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that traveled near and far to help celebrate our special day. Every moment was more than what we could have imagined and it will forever be one of the best days of our lives.

FROM THE BRIDE: I know this sounds cliche, but it truly was the best day of our lives. Having all of our friends and family in one place to help us celebrate felt like such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. A day full of all our favorite people and things – what more could you ask for? My favorite memory looking back on our wedding day would have to be the private time we had before the ceremony to take pictures out in the snow. It was such a perfect day, we could relive it all over again!
